Club policy is 18+ only
As of January 2023, the Queens Park Chess Club Committee have agreed that we will only be accepting into the club those aged 18 years and older.
As we are based in a bar venue, The Bungo, we do not feel we can provide an ideal setting for children to learn and develop their chess.
For now, junior players will be directed to other local chess clubs who provide the necessary facilities to support juniors. We will be reviewing this decision in the future.
Junior players with visiting club teams are welcome. Such teams must include, or be accompanied by, a responsible adult. Inter-club league, cup and friendly games are played in the Bungo-Lo, the basement function room.
